Good to see Nintendo's hard on for long winded exhausting hand holding tutorials in the Zelda series has managed to stay strong from Twilight Princess to Skyward Sword.

That's the millionth time dutchland breaks a streetdate.
Gonna shelve it till i'm done with Skyrim (somewhere 2012 probably)

So apparently Link has an annoying Stamina bar that drains pretty quickly.

Lol, that was confirmed and shown at the first E3 demo.
Dunno why, probably so you can't constantly use the dash move (which hasn't been in any other Zelda game, except if you count the boots items, which you shouldn't) and can't constantly use the spin attack (since you don't have a magic-bar).

The stamina bar is okay. Its mostly because of the dash as Monkeh said, which is used for crossing some terrain (eg: incline), and the stamina bar makes it a challenge to get to the top/end before it runs out. There's fruit you can touch/pick up while sprinting to auto refill the bar, and you can buy a potion that lessons the drain.
