I'm actually considering picking up a PSP soon so I can play Tactics Ogre.

PSP's are useless unless you plan on using homebrew. Then they're actual good devices.

I don't really know a whole lot about the homebrew scene for them.

Yes, they can.
With Homebrew you can:
- Play Arcade, Neo Geo, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, PSX, etc. roms off Emulators.
- Play downloaded PSP games (you want this since 98% PSP titles are overpriced garbage).
- Play games like Quake, Duke Nukem 3D, Cave Story, etc. on it.
- Idle on #hlfallout using the IRC app.
I'll copy/paste tutorials if anyone cares.

how do you write text on the psp? up/down arrow until you hit the right letter???
