I finally beat the main quest line... pretty epic, although I feel like the end of it could have been a little more climatic.

I was excited when I found all three words of this shout one one dragon altar...but then I realised why...this shout is just pointless (at least to my mage character).

I used it in a cave in the hopes of drawing people onto oil puddles. They pretty much immediately saw me and attack me instead. I was hoping so much it would cause them to just walk over to investigate rather than getting everyones attention.

I think this would work better for dungeons

A very basic multiplayer mod has just been publicly released.

It's really not worth playing now (except just for the novelty/curiosity), but hopefully it'll progress more in the near future!

The Steam Workshop for Skyrim is now open for business, making downloading and running mods as easy as clicking on a single button! They also released a high definition texture pack, which clocks in at a little over 3 gigs.

And it's 33% off right now, for those losers who haven't purchased it yet.

Thank you for the heads up, kind sir. I'll be high-resing it up in a few more minutes.

The textures aren't noticeably better, although I haven't played the game in over a month, so I might be wrong.

But I did find an awesome mod that Aperture Laboratories made that adds a Space Core from Portal 2 to the game. And Gui, you'll be happy to know that Nolan North provides the voice for it.

Quote

To celebrate the opening of the Steam Workshop for Skyrim, Valve and Bethesda have teamed up to bring you the Portal 2 Space Core mod, which will let the aggressively space-centric little robot tag along on your adventures in Tamriel.

Also, since Skyrim was the only major release of 2011 without Nolan North in it, you should consider this mod a patch to fix that problem. You can now feel free to include Skyrim in the "Nolan North" section of your video game library, which is to say, your video game library.

Spoiler

EDIT: The Elder Scrolls Collection is on sale on Steam for cheaper than Skyrim alone usually is. It includes Morrowind GOTY Edition, Oblivion GOTY Edition, and Skyrim, which is an awesome deal at $50 USD.

Damn, $50 for Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim? That's pretty awesome.

The best mod for skyrim has just been released: http://steamcommunit...etails/?id=7563

It won't let me hotlink the image and I'm too lazy to save it to a different location and post it here but all you need to know is the title of this mod . . .

Christopher Livingston, who the Half-Life community should know for his G-Mod comic "Concerned", has done a series of over on PC Gamer about Skyrim.

The Elder Strolls, details his attempt to play a Skyrim character like a NPC.
The series is at it's untimely end, but it's pretty funny stuff.

And they left the heart of your PC? The most valuable parts?
