Hmmm... I've only played the first couple of missions of Crysis 1. For some reason I did not appreciate it- apart from the visuals. Normally I am drawn to games with interesting art direction as well as dialog and story, so I found crysis uninspiring. Everyone else seems to be praising the sandbox gameplay so I must give it a try one of these days and try to find what I'm missing.

Who wanna make a bet that they put an arrow to the knee joke in this game.

I agree. It looks pretty disappointing.

This looks like recycled, borrowed, generic FPS fodder to me. But I'll probably buy it anyway...

^^Yeah well it seems like in the last 5 years publishers have started viewing recycled, generic FPS franchises as their cash cows. Like Call of Duty. Still not as bad as the sequel sports games on the consoles I guess...

Can you blame them, though? The gamer-sheeple buy those games in large quantities.

Played a little bit of the first but found the combat frustrating. Can't really recall what irked me about it though and I haven't bothered with it since then, should I give the series another chance?

If all levels are more open than Crysis 2's it could be good.

uhhh i thought at the end it was alcatraz's thoughts merging with prophet's not him being taken over. the pretty decent novel supported this.

too bad they may be going with the more boring literal explanation, but i guess that's what happens when richard morgan isn't involved.
