Remember the time when we were younglings and were scampering around searching for mods? One of the first well polished MultiPlayer Source mods was Insurgency. The developers are now working on a commercial sequel, Insurgency 2, which is being once again powered by the Source engine. Click below to continue reading.

They have started a KickStarter venture to put a little spark in their development cycle and currently have about 57 days left to complete their target amount. So, go on and support these lads they'll be glad to have your combined backing for this new project.

Nice, I quite enjoyed this mod back when it was first released.

Too bad I cba to go through the trouble of paying on Kickstarter (since they don't support PayPal).

I love/loved Insurgency and was following it since '04/'05, I'm definitely backing this. Sweet!

Insurgency was brilliant! Just along my taste of realistic FPS. Can't wait for the second one. Could probably throw some money at them, at least for the game itself.

I got the chance to play Insurgency 2 on Tuesday and I am really impressed, it is very polished and has a new weight system which changes your speed/ammo and grenades depending on what "class" you go. The textures on the weapons are amazing, it has a slightly faster pace than the original Insurgency but they are going to add a realism mode for the true hardcore fans of INS wanting more of a slower pace.

I also got the chance to play with King Foom of Destructoid and Gooseman the original creator of Counter-Strike. I am honoured I got the chance to kill him a few times.
