I'm no computer wizard, but I know a pickle when I'm in one. I'm using an imac. I put my Steam account into offline mode - huge mistake. Now I can't get it to run. It tells me that it needs to run an update but it's in offline mode. I tried to delete all Steam files and when I try to reinstall Steam it doesn't work - again get the prompt that it's offline. HELP. Anyone know how to fix? I've submitted a ticket to Steam, but no word back yet.

Steam Stuck in Offline Mode

Go to:
/Users/$yourusername/Library/Application Support/Steam/ and locate registry.vdf
The variable you need to set is Registry / HKCU / Software / Valve / Steam / Offline, which you set to "0".
If your library folder isn't visible go to: Finder > Go > Go to Folder
Then enter ~/Library
Hope that helps.
