Sup everybody. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a wireless headset for the PC that utilizes my sound card. If I buy a wireless headset (i.e. Corsair Vengeance 2000) then my sound card will go to waste. Those act as the sound card and headset themselves. It may be a hard but if I can't find anything then I'll probably just buy a regular wires analog headset. Thanks guys.

I use these for all my PC audio, they are great and worth the asking price IMO. They also have dedicated modes for PS3 and 360 with about 15 built in presets. Unfortunately I have no idea if they will take advantage of your soundcard :(

It is USB powered and has its own built in sound card. I never found any wireless headset that was analog. In most cases I would prefer it be USB power, it provides a simple charger interface for the transmitter & receiver and the sound isnt dependent on your system's audio.

Mine is a Creative HS-1200, its pretty good, get 3-5 hours of sound. Since my laptop's audio jack became useless, a USB option was necessary. It really helps at work were i have to turn around and do stuff that leaves me raging when tied down with a wire.

I really like it, the sound is great, fits on the ear, not around it, which I prefer. I guess the easiest thing would be to buy a wired headset.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'll just buy a wired headset. I like having the high quality sound from my card. I just thought it would be nice not to be bounded by wires for once. It would have been intriguing to listen to my computer music while in bed and possibly in another room.

once you go wireless you can never go back, just ask your wireless mouse...

Hummm. That's a mouse though. It's a simple human interface device (HID). The headphones provide sound as well as music. There's a lot more varying qualities than in a mouse. I already have a wired headset that works, for now... Maybe I'll just get a wireless headset to try. I'm really intrigued by them.

i think its the fact that you no longer get tangled with the wires thats a big plus, just allowing you to turn your head around or walk around the room makes it so awesome.

I work at my desk, but frequently need to go to our lab for a random errand, not having to stop the music feels good, you know the type of feeling? inside good, the one between solving a puzzle in portal and saving a baby's life...

It seems ridiculous, but its the same as gaming with a wired mouse compared to a wireless, something that going back just feels unnatural.

No, you're right. For once I would like to get up from my desk and go to the bathroom while still listening to music. Also I'm always doing school work at my desk while listening to music. So I'm moving around back and forth reading books and my headphones always restrict me. I guess I'll get a pair of wireless. Worse comes to worse I'll sell them and get some wired. I guess I'll go with the Corsair Vengeance 2000. They seemed to get good reviews. They also look high quality.

I'd rather stick with wires since that means I don't have to be recharging or buying batteries every week.

The headphones I want have an option to use wired (by USB) or wireless. So if you run out of batteries in the middle of a game or something you can just plug them in and continue to use.

most have lithium batteries and last several hours, so you dont have to buy batteries you scrub. Just checked mine and lasted 5 hours listening to pandora. Charge time for mine is about 1-2 hours and like drew said, just hook up the wire again, at worse you are back to wired for a short time.

Haha I can't imagine wireless headphones or any major portable electronic being powered by alkaline, non-rechargeable batteries these days. This isn't 1992. I remember my Game Gear taking like six AA batteries and would burn through those in a couple of hours.

I was at a point back in the day. But my tune has changed since getting a wireless mouse. I've figured I should expand my operation to headphones.
