When are they expecting to launch half life 2? Because it looks like a really cool game.

Gabe Newell said in a recent Video that Half-life 2 will be out this summer (June 21 to Septembre 21).

So I think that it will be released in September.

I can't wait myself. I am going to buy the Half-life 2 Collector Edition. It's comes whit a 3D remake of Half-life 1, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Day of Defeat 2, Counter : Strike Source and Team Fortress 2 whit some other collection things.

also, they will give an Software devellopement kit to modders so they can export their HL1 mods to HL2 whitout a big problem.

I think it'll probably come out in late summer. I think fall would be the latest date it would come out.

I saw the E3 videos, and hl2 looks amazing.

I might get a ati radeon card so I get hl2 free, and also get the collectors edition if I have money.

there will be 3 editions

Half-life 2 Single Player edition
Half-life 2 Normal version edition
Half-life 2 Collector edition

The game looks spectacular. The demo videos I've seen show some remarkable achievements with the facial expressions, destructable and useful environments, etc.

I just read that Vivendi expects it to come out sometime this summer... however, they also expected it to come out last fall, so I wouldn't get my hopes up yet.

I'll probably spring for the collector's edition. Original Half-life in the new engine would be sweet.

Too HL2 didn't come out when it was supposed too. The graphics aren't as spectacular as they were back then, since other games are starting to have similarily good graphics. But it still looks awesome. :)

Gravity gun anyone? :p

Well, most of the new games will use the Havok Engine but HL2 is pushing it far. :tounge

hmm, I don't know, after looking at the videos, I still think the hl2 graphics are pretty intense compared to the games that are out now. Pair that up with the physics engine, it should be pretty interesting.
