HL2: DM Mapping Contest
Vigilant EC is hosting a HL2: DM mapping concept contest, with a $25 Electronics Boutique gift voucher up for grabs. Your goal is to design a concept for a DM map based on the original Xen chapters for Half-Life. As well as getting a little money to spend at EB, you could also have your map published by the team of Viligant EC. Your entry must be drawn out on paper, by CAD, or done in Photoshop.

If you are creative and skilled at drawing or Photoshopping, check out the contest homepage for contact information and further details. Entries close on the 20th of July.

Objective
Design an original map concept that fits into the
theme of the Xen Galaxy, Hl2 reminiscents, and whatever large enviroment. The map concept must be perfect for HL2: DM.

Developer's Goal
We want to have your ideas to create a wonderfully original map that will bring back the reminiscents of the original Half-Life's Xen World, and still have the style that fits into HL2. We will be making custom textures, static meshes, player models, sfx, and weapons. If you want to join the Development team, please PM me.

Rules
  • Must be in the theme of a Xen galaxy, HL2 style, and whatever large enviroment
  • Must be easy to read/understand
  • Go all out, do any architecture design you can think of. Make it unbelieveable!
  • Must be your work, and no others.
  • Multiple Entries Accepted
  • Ideas from other maps are accepted
  • Concept must be sketched out on paper, CAD, or photoshop.
Prize
Your concept will be made into an official HL2: DM map. Also, if the map is well liked by the Judges, you will get a $25 EB Games gift card, and will be publicised over Valve's News and other HL2 News/Resource sites.
